Scotty Bowman will be the guest on today’s NHL Hour

Update: You can click here to listen to yesterday’s NHL Hour with special guest Scotty Bowman.

Scott BowmanOne of the greatest men ever involved in professional sports — Scotty Bowman — will be the guest on today’s (03/20/08) NHL Hour with Gary Bettman. The show airs at 4p.m. EST on XM Radio channel 204, or you can listen through the NHL’s live stream. You can call your questions/comments in at 1-877-645-6696 or e-mail NHLHOUR@NHL.com. So get some tough questions ready!!

We are STILL waiting to hear Gary Bettman address the ongoing issue of games on the NHL Network not being shown on NHL Center Ice… which is making fans who have already paid at least $145 a season, pay another monthly fee to get what they originally paid for.

We will post a link to the NHL’s podcast of the show early tomorrow.

My brother once said this…”Don’t bother arguing with someone who doesn’t use reason, because you’ll never win the argument.”

That’s what we are seeing with the NHL executives. They don’t use reason in supporting their claim that the NHL is in healthy shape. They keep sticking their head in the sand refuse to acknolwedge a plethora of problems plaguing the league.

Just another example of how stupid NHL executives and upper management are: www.tsn.ca/shows/otr OTR On-Demand Off The Record March 20, 2008

    sabresownurlives,

Within 10 days, I am 100% sure that there will be a post about bad officiating which screws a team over in the playoffs or something along those lines.

lol, fair enough, guys who run the site resting up for the playoff grind. Can’t stand NHL Refs… There’ll be a lot of posts. Let’s see… I think Washington and P-Burg will get all kinds of preferential treatment due to Crosby and Ovechkin.

Sorry for the lack of updates/posts to the site lately… we have been really busy with other happenings in life. There has been plenty to post about, but we just haven’t had the time.
Look for a lot more action as the playoffs begin and the rest of our lives calm down!!

    cheers,
    Puckhead & JB

Great site - I hate Gary Bettman! How can a man who’s never played hockey and is a marketing idiot become commissioner of the league?? And how can we get rid of him?? Keep up the good work. (BTW- how did SJ and Calgary end up with back-to-back games? Shouldn’t happen in the playoffs, in my opinion…)

    Go Wings!!!

I cannot watch the NHL anymore. This from a 40 year NHL fan. The playoffs used to be about battling and doing what it takes. Now its about diving and cheap penalty calls.

Games that start off with great back and forth action are dulled by numerous cheap penalties. Diving is being rewarded. And enough of calling a hand brush hooking!

Bettman is trying to turn hockey into basketball on ice. He thinks fans want to see cheap powerplay after cheap powerplay. He knows squat about hockey. Until this guy is fired, and until they get rid of this soft style of Euro hockey, I will find it very hard to watch the NHL anymore. And I blame Bettman, 150%!
